Founded in the 1970s as a chain link fence company, Fortuna Iron Works has steadily evolved over the decades. In the 1980s, the business shifted to industrial work for the local creamery, and by the 1990s, it had moved to its current location under new ownership. The 2000s marked a period of major growth, with projects including structural steel for the College of the Redwoods Child Development Building, complete steelwork and railings for the Eureka Boardwalk, and upgrades to Cal Poly Humboldt’s football stadium. Now a proud part of O&M Industries, Fortuna Iron continues to build on its legacy of quality craftsmanship and local impact.
